Kevin Watson at deeply committed would like to conduct an experiment gauging the impact of the online Methodist presence. The United Methodist Church, like many others, have been slow in keeping up with the changes in communication and technology.
Recently, Kevin wrote a book called Reclaiming the Wesleyan Tradition, published by Discipleship Rescources. To promote the book, the publisher created an advertisement on Youtube. Some in the Methodist blogosphere have noticed that the video has not got a lot of hits. Hence, Kevin’s call for an experiment.
I haven’t read the book, but if the caliber is that of Kevin’s sermons on Wesley’s general rules, I have no problem endorsing it. I don’t know if the book will be made available over here, but perhaps I can still find a way to introduce it in my churches.
