Interfaith News in Blackburn

A few weeks ago there was a lot of talk about Muslims creating a no-go zone in Great Britain.  Well, it looks like religious leaders in Blackburn are attempting to overcome that idea.  Blackburn has one of the most densely Asian populations in Britain, making interfaith issues critical here.  The Blackburn Citizen reports that last week Christian and Muslim leaders, the Blackburn Interfaith Council, gathered in at a Roman Catholic Church last week.  There are already plans to meet again, the next time at a Mosque.  The Citizen article is regretfully short, but at least they are reporting the times when Christians and Muslims are getting together rather than only publishing stories where tensions run high (that, alas, sells more newspapers).  Here’s the link to the article:
